Video Premiere: Daryl Mosley’s “A Few Years Ago”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Daryl Mosley’s “A Few Years Ago” from his forthcoming album The Secret of Life.  The Secret of Life was produced by Daryl Mosley and Danny Roberts and will be released on Pinecastle Records on May 22nd.

“A Few Years Ago” is Daryl Mosley on bass and lead vocals, Danny Roberts on mandolin, Tony Wray on guitar, Aaron McDaris on banjo,  Adam Haynes on fiddle, Michael Stockton on dobro and Jaelee Roberts on harmony vocals.

This video was produced by Ethan Burkhardt and directed by Troy House of the Bonfire Music Group.  With footage from the road, driving the highways and byways, the video dovetails seamlessly with the old-timey musical arrangement of the song.  Daryl Mosley creates songs that identify the precise moment of modern nostalgia. Watch and listen and you’ll see.

“A Few Years Ago” is all about accepting both the good and the bad of your past and moving forward with your life as a better person. Shooting the video in a moving vehicle seemed to be the perfect metaphor to capture that. You can still see the past in the rear view mirror, but you’re moving farther away from it toward an unknown future. Older and hopefully wiser.” – Daryl Mosley
