Americana Highways presents this premiere of The White Buffalo’s video for their song “Problem Solution,” from their album, On the Widow’s Walk, which was produced by Shooter Jennings and recorded by Mark Rains, and came out on Snakefarm Records. “Problem Solution” is Jacob Aaron Smith on vocals and acoustic guitar; Matt Lynott on drums and percussion; Christopher Hoffee on electric guitar and bass; with piano and additional keys by Shooter Jennings.
The video was directed by CW & Kube; and produced by Nicole Prokes of Blackheart Studio. With dramatic footage of Jacob Aaron Smith in various lightings, the textures of his hair mimic the song’s moods. We’ve all been in that musing place of angst that The White Buffalo presents on this latest offering. Luckily, the sun comes out and a solution appears. The White Buffalo beautifully captures both tension and release all throughout On the Widow’s Walk.
This is a song in two parts about mental states. The first half, “Problem,” is about heartbreak and self-doubt when things are bleak and hopeless.
