Americana Highways presents “Aching to Feel Alive” from Jess Jocoy’s upcoming album Such a Long Way, due to be available on April 10, 2020.  Such a Long Way was producered by Michael Rinne & Dylan Alldredge; engineered and mixed by Dylan Alldredge at Skinny Elephant Recording, Nashville; and mastered by Alex McCollough at Nashvilles’s True East Mastering. “Aching to Feel Alive” is Jess Jocoy on vocals and acoustic guitar; Will Kimbrough on electric guitar; Juan Solorzano on acoustic guitar and lap steel; Michael Rinne on bass; and Rob Crowell on drums and Wurlitzer.

The lyric video was created by Adam Jones of ALJ Innovations.  Tapping into the most basic human sense of longing for more, Jess Jocoy crafts songs to commiserate and uplift your spirit.

I’ve become good at observing relationships, watching my friends fall in and out of love over the years, but it’s not really a bridge I’ve crossed myself. “Aching to Feel Alive” is me on the days I’m feeling that solitude. They say love is such a powerful feeling that you unlock a different part of yourself. And, I believe love can take on many different forms. The lonely days can make it seem like you’re aching to feel something more, something deeper. — Jess Jocoy
