Song Premiere: Cardboard Rocketship’s “Dream”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere track of “Dream” from Cardboard Rocketship’s upcoming EP Better. Better was mixed and mastered by Julian Giaimo, produced by AJ Pillette, with art by V Silverman. “Dream” was written by Vincent Cinque and features Vincent Cinque on vocals and guitar; Roxanne Quilty on supporting vocals; Will Davis on banjo and harmony vocals with Tallie Gabriel on cello and backing vocals.

Brooklyn-based Coardboard Rocketship creates punctuated, jangly dreamy indie folk, and “Dream” is the centerpiece of their sound.  “Is there nothing I can do to make this broken lonely life come back together?” and the perpetrator of pain is longing for solution and forgiveness.  It will be fun to watch Cardboard Rocketship climb up through the ranks of the music community — it’s sure to happen.

This is a song about wanting something better for someone you love. The simple yet poignant instrumentals set to bittersweet, heartwarming lyrics take the listener to a place of longing for the sun to rise on a better day. —  Vincent
