Watch: Video Premiere of Dallas Dorsey’s “Stranger”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Dallas Dorsey performing the song “Strangers” from his recent self-titled EP Dallas Dorsey. The EP was produced by Dorsey with Wade Allen and mixed by Chris Mara of “Welcome to 1979.”  The EP features Dorsey on vox and guitar, Matt Alemany on guitar and Brett McDaniel on acoustic guitar and vocals.  Jimbo Leach contributed fiddle, Kenny Heard was on Hammond B3, and Gini Young provided backing vocals too.  The song “Stranger” was written by Dallas Dorsey & Gini Young, and this video’s videography is by McDorsey Photography.

The video features Dallas Dorsey on guitar and vocals with Brett McDaniel singing backups; and there’s Daniel Brooks on the other guitar with Whitt Dorsey on the Coors Lite.  If you want a relaxing jam session, literally taking place on a front porch, watch this,  and wait for the “Yooo Hooo!”

We shot the video at my family’s old home place, my great grandfather bought it in 1927, and the front porch is my favorite place on earth. The song is probably Freudian in nature, relationships running cold and feeling like you don’t know your partner anymore. — Dallas
