Nick Justice “Time Passing By”
Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Nick Justice’s song “Time Passing By” from his new album, Rain Dancing, which will be available on February 6. The album was produced and mixed by Ed Tree and mastered by Mark Dann. “Time Passing By” is Nick on Justice on acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals; Ed Tree on bass and harmonium; and Forest Miller on fiddle.
This video was created by Joel Rafael of Reluctant Angel. Footage of Nick playing and singing this expressive folk song outdoors is an ideal setting for the expressions of painful song of reckoning with mortality. It’s all around us these days, and this song offers at least a moment of relief from the shock.
As Nick tells us about the song: “A friend who is a live performing partner and someone who has played on all but one of my records came down with some very serious health issues. This song reflects what we all will face someday with “Time Passing By.” He once told me he had many regrets. I told him, if you don’t have regrets, you haven’t lived life.”
