Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Once Great Estate’s new song “Carolina, Colorado, or Tennessee.” It’s part of her forthcoming EP Lullabies For Lesser Wits. The song was produced, mixed and mastered by Chan Leonard at The Shire studio in Tallahassee, Florida.
The song was written and performed by Tracy Horenbein.

As Tracy tells us, of the song’s inspiration: “As my home state of Florida becomes more and more unrecognizable, I’ve been thinking about future alternatives. This song is a daydream about finding peace in a special place, with a special person.”
Foggy imagery of fishing, a campfire, and breathtaking hiking footage in the mountains is what makes this video a perfect accompaniment to the song about getting away from it all to a place where attunement with nature can feed the soul. Is there a way to immerse in this vision of “turn[ing] off the chatter to things that really matter, we just have to get away to a cabin in the mountains….” Tracy’s easy playing style and honest vocals are stirring.
