This video was edited by Mike Goodenow, with videography by Kevin Goddess and animation by Aeophex. This song lightens things up with a groovy beat and a pertinent timely message – sometimes you can still love the silly one with all the conspiracy theories and the tin foil hat. A folk rock extravaganza, and just right to turn up and let yourself blow off a little steam. The video animation is fresh and super amusing, and the antics are a riot.
With all the disinformation that flies around these days that seems to pit people on opposite sides of every issue, I decided to write “Tin Foil Hat.” It’s about a guy that falls for a girl that buys into all the conspiracy theories—faked moon landing, Bigfoot, chemtrails, aliens, and more. He thinks she’s crazy, but he’s fascinated by her. In the end he says, “I don’t judge her, I just love her, and we agree to disagree.” Which I think is a pretty good message for these times. – Dave Goddess
