Sean Harrison – “Good Cover Story”

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Sean Harrison’s song “Good Cover Story,” set for release on February 14th. The song will be part of his forthcoming album, Ghastly Love (and other dubious tales), set for release later this year. The music was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Sean Harrison and Darren Novotny.

Musicians on “Good Cover Story” are Sean Harrison on lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitars; Darren Novotny on drums; John Davies on bass guitars; Earl Cate on electric guitars; Matt Nelson on Fender Rhodes piano and Hammond B3 organ; with backing vocals by Genevieve Carlson, John Davies and Harrison.

The gripping groove with touches of Hammond B3 set the stage for intrigue, and this very well might be a soundtrack for an adventure flick. “I dig up the package, I’m satin smooth” catches your attention, and then “I meet a fella down there by the water tower, I’m cool I’m loose to make the drop.” Stay tuned for the rest to unfold in this song that really hits its mark dead on.

“This song formed out of my criminal mind,” says Harrison with a touch of humor. “And some of the passages came from my being a big fan of the TV show ‘Better Call Saul.’”
