Rebecca Correia “One That Got Away”
Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Rebecca Correia’s song “One That Got Away,” featuring Lillie Mae, from her forthcoming album Flying. The album was produced by Grammy award winning Casey Wasner.

The video was directed and filmed by Tyler Barksdale in Historic Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. The horse is named “Blue.” A beautiful interplay of light and darkness highlight this video and as Rebecca rides the gentle horse the song’s poignant message is drawn out clearly in visual relief. Sometimes there’s beauty within the sorrow, tenderness within the pain, and Rebecca captures that contradiction in this song of letting go.
I wrote ‘One That Got Away’ after a failed relationship many years ago. The song is as raw and emotional, as the anger I was experiencing at the time was a necessary emotional phase I needed to crawl through in order to fly again.
The video was filmed in Historic Leiper’s Fork, TN, one of my very favorite places. “Blue” was such a good boy during the shoot. He even stopped to take pictures with his fans at Fox & Locke after filming! – Rebecca Correia
