The Twangtown Paramours – “The Garden”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of the Twangtown Paramours’ song “The Garden” from their forthcoming album of folk songs The Wind Will Change Again, which is set for release on January 3 via Inside Edge Records. This song was released on Sept 27. The album ws produced by Mike T. Lewis and mastered by Benny Quinn Mastering.
“The Garden” is Mary Beth Zamer on lead vocals; Mike T. Lewis in guitar, bass, and background vocals; Jim Van Cleve on fiddle; Rave Tesar on piano; and Rick Lonow on drums and percussion.
The video was produced by Inside Edge Productions, with bright and poignant garden imagery. Three time Kerrville New Folk finalists, the Paramours write songs with flair and meaning and this collection, as they say, is their first folk album in a dozen years. In this one, they sing of the luck and lessons that come with growing older, in a garden, with love, violin, thoughtful piano, and the hopes: “I hope I grow old enough to know my grandchildren.” It’s a folk lullaby.
“The Garden” is about what a privilege growing older is. It’s a gift that not everyone gets.
Other Statement: We look forward to releasing our first Folk album in twelve years, The Wind Will Change Again. We believe this is the best collection of songs we’ve put out to date. We can’t wait until it’s made available to radio and to the public in January, 2025. In the meantime, we’re excited to release the first single from that record, “The Garden.” – Mike T. Lewis
