Randall Bramblett – “Fire Down In Our Souls”
Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Randall Bramblett’s song “Fire Down In Our Souls” from his forthcoming album Paradise Breakdown, which is slated for release tomorrow. The album was produced by Gerry Hansen and Randall Bramblett; mixed by Jason Kingsland and Gerry Hansen; and mastered by Eric Conn at Independent Mastering in Nashville.
“Fire Down In Our Souls” is Randall Bramblett on vocals and keys; Tom Bukovac on guitar; Nick Johnson on guitar; Steve Mackey on bass; Gerry Hansen on drums and percussion; Seth Hendershot on backing vocals and Tom Ryan on backing vocals.
Watching this video, listening to Randall’s soft beckoning vocal tones and the tight syncopated rhythms, you’ll hear why Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools says Randall is “one of Georgia’s musical treasures.” Randall rounds out and completes the range of excellence that has come out of Georgia, with his thoughtful, eminently listenable songcraft. It’s genius, with a love story and a flow informed by ’70s styles with contemporary maturity of reflection. The video shows footage of him playing and singing in top notch style, with a message we can all absorb.
The video was produced and edited by Super Canoe with director of photography Stephen Payne.
“Fire Down in Our Souls” captures my experience of an enduring and surprising love. I had not written anything quite so straightforward before. I also like the lazy mid-tempo groove and almost psychedelic melody. It’s one of favorites on the album. Satisfying. – Randall Bramblett
