Mark Ross & the Three-Nineteen – “Meadowland”

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Mark Ross & the Three-Nineteen’s song “Meadowland” from their forthcoming album. This song was produced by Kevin Bowe and Mark; engineered by Kevin Bowe; and mastered by Bruce Templeton. The song will be available on September 27th.

“Meadowland” is Ross on vocals and acoustic guitar; Marc Partridge on electric lead guitar; Jeff Mueller on drums; Brain Blechinger on bass; Sam Dwyer on backing vocals; and Kevin Bowe on 12-string and baritone guitars.

With a low baritone rootsy melody, and jaunty electric guitar solos, this song  depicts longing and unrequited love, but with a healthy dose of optimism in the air, hope that things could turn around: “I want to be like morning dew that lays upon her / watch evening sunset paint her red / I want to lay my body there beside her / feels like the place where the lonely ends.” This is a nicely arranged, catchy and hip-swinging rootsy number.

I wrote “Meadowland” thinking about relationships where you may really like somebody so much, but they are not ready or in a place to accept that. – Mark Ross
