“Better Left Unsaid” was written by Nadine Budge, and is Nadine on lead vocal, rhythm guitar, and resonator guitar; John Bartholomeusz on guitar and harmonies; Colin Swan on banjo and harmonies; Greg Field on fiddle, mandolin, and harmonies; and Luke Richardson on double bass and harmonies.
The tempo and the tender way the stringed instruments introduce you to the pain of heartache and resignation is right on point. A classic tale of love gone wrong. I moved to Los Angeles from Melbourne, Australia, back in 2005 to follow my heart when a rekindled love interest from 15 years prior turned up on the scene and reignited the spark. However, after arriving in LA, I found myself embroiled in their web of lies and deception.
