The Fugitives – “Wing and a Prayer”
The Fugitives have a new video for their song “Wing and a Prayer,” from their recently released album No Help Coming. The album was produced and mixed by Tom Dobrzanski at Monarch Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia.
“Wing and a Prayer” is Adrian Glynn on vocals, guitars, and bass; Brendan McLeod on vocals and guitars; Carly Frey on vocals and violin; and Chris Suen on vocals and banjo; with Cole George on drums and percussion; and Tom Dobrzanski on Hammond B3 organ.
This video was created by Collide Entertainment, and it was directed and edited by Mike Southworth. Hushed four-part harmonies with lovely melodic singing are the foundation of this song, and the video captures it gently as the core four-piece plays in black and white and this call to stand up, act, and help make changes for our world and nature.
Leading up to the recording, we asked environmental experts what was missing from the conversation. They all said the same thing: no more sad songs. We know the world’s messed up. What’s missing are more invitations to get real about making changes. And to do that, we have to get less precious about the subject. – Brendan McLeod
“Wing And A Prayer” is one of those songs. It’s upbeat, because there’s a lot of resolve to be found in joy. And while humans have a lot of bad things going for us, we can be pretty great at the joy part. So, let’s use it. – Adrian Glymm
