Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Red Matter’s song “Light of the Moon,” from their forthcoming album due to be available on May 5. The album was engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Vic Steffens and produced by Michael Caplan and Geoff Schneider.
“Light of the Moon” is Milo Barer on backing vocals; Geoff Schneider on lead guitar and lead vocals; Paul Dunay on rhythm guitar; Ric Lubell on bass and backing vocals; Doug Knight on piano; Jordan Giangreco on B3 organ; Aaron Hagele on percussion; and JP Geoghegan on drums. The music was composed by Geoff Schneider and the lyrics were composed by JP Geoghegan.
With a jam band, Jerry Garcia – inspired tone and bright plunky percussion in the mix in the style of Mickey Hart, this music by Red Matter brings you back to a summer festival right in the middle of the warmth of summer. But at night, “by the light of the moon when the shadows are high,” what better time to “live this glorious life.” An inspiration and a joy to listen to.
