Tupelo Lime — “Dust on the Road”

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Tupelo Lime’s song “Dust on the Road,” from the forthcoming album Dust. Dust was produced by Gram Nicholas Phillips and Owen Turner; and engineered at Sickroom Studio, Norfolk, UK by Owen Turner.

Music and lyrics written and performed by Gram Nicholas Phillips on vocals and acoustic guitar, and Claire Hamburger on recorder. Tupelo Lime creates Americana songs with a dust of the countryside running through them. Check it out!

A slice of Americana, a song about the hardships faced by the many many Americans walking across the length of the USA in the 1930’s searching for work that was oft-times fragile and precarious. Staying in temporary camps known as Hoovervilles, many of them never returned home. This is the story of one such man.  — Gram Nicholas Phillips
