Song Premiere: “Surrounded by the Storm” By On Dolphin

Listen & Watch Song Premieres
Americana Highways is pleased to premiere this song by On Dolphin, “Surrounded by the Storm,” the title track from their upcoming album due to be released next month.  The album is Melissa Lyn on guitars and vox; Ryan Clark on drums, bass and vox; Nathan Dennen on keys and vox with Lisa Young on Backing vocals.  Surrounded by the Storm was produced by Ryan Clark, with the drums engineered by Scott McDowell, it was mixed by Paul Minor.
“Surrounded by the Storm” features Lyn on guitar and vocals, Clark on rhythms, with Dennen on keys and vocals.  With raw, heavy guitar tones, this song is a pop rock ode to life’s metaphorical storms: “I’m hanging on and hanging upside down.”
In San Francisco the winds seem to come from every direction.  The vibrant musical community can push you into accelerated creativity while the cost of living demands job performance to earn and survive. The beauty of your surroundings call you out but the city walls start caving in.  Sometimes a song helps me find answers, in this case the song never really resolves, just like the hustle and bustle of city life.
