Double Premiere: Two Songs From Scarlette Fever’s EP “December Prayer” Due Friday

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Scarlette Fever’s upcoming EP  December Prayer (Starfisch Records), due this Friday.  The release is aptly timed with its title track “December Prayer,” which is an emotionally moving prayer with Scarlette Fever’s rich vocal tones over piano. It’ll make you want to curl up in front of the fireplace with your hot beverage this holiday season.  “Let the Music Save Me” features Scarlette Fever on acoustic guitar, playing an evocative story of a rambler’s life. You can listen to both of these tracks, below. The EP also includes holiday classics “Silent Night” and “O’Holy Night.”

I wrote ‘December Prayer’ a few years ago when I was in a pretty dark place, struggling with my sexuality and in yet another destructive relationship.  This song was literally my plea, my prayer at that time.  Recording this song brought back some nightmarish memories but it also felt really good to lay old ghosts to rest.  I hope you enjoy it.

I’m so proud of ‘Let The Music Save Me’, I wrote it with my dear friend, the amazing Leslie Satcher, on my last trip to Nashville.  Aside from wanting to let my fans have a taste of the music that I’ve got planned for them next year, it felt right to have this song alongside ‘December Prayer’ because music has always been the thing that gets me through the darkest of days.
