Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Erik Vincent Huey’s song “Fort Defiance,” the title track from his album due to be released tomorrow. The album was produced by Eric Roscoe Ambel and recorded by Mario Viele at Ambel’s studio, Cowboy Technical Services, in Greenpoint Brooklyn.

The musicians on “Fort Defiance” are power pop band Starbelly: Dennis Schocket on base; Greg Schroeder on Drums; Cliff Hillis on guitars and Bryan Ewald on guitars, and Erik on vocals and guitar.

As Erik tells us, “This video really captures the essence of the Fort Defiance sessions and brings it home – both the recording process in the studio as well as live. It traces the complete song cycle arc from creation to performance.”

The video footage was shot by Fahnon Bennett at Cowboy Technical Services. Tom Inskeep filmed the performances live at the music venue Pearl Street Warehouse, in Washington DC.

The video really nails Eric Vincent Huey‘s energetic live rock band performance style and is riveting to watch. The live show clips interspersed with the band and production team in the studio listening to playbacks of the song draw you in to feeling like you’re right there with them. A clear encapsulation of what’s clearly a powerfully good time.
