3 Pairs of Boots – “Boot Scootin'”

Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of 3 Paris of Boots’ song “Boot Scootin'” title track from their forthcoming album due to be released on September 27. Boot Scootin’ was written and produced by Andrew Stern; and mixed and mastered by Rob Beaton.

“Boot Scootin'” is Laura Arias on vocals; Greg Perkins on background vocals; Andrew Stern on stringed instruments; Dave Cohen on keys; and Randy Cooke on drums.

The ideal here is of cutting loose and living in the moment, at least once in a while: “Meet me in the middle of the dance hall floor, leave the world behind your troubles out the door, take my hand come fly with me, take my love, I’ll set you free.”  3 Pairs of Boots achieves just the right balance between lightheartedness and profundity.

On the surface this song seems to be about getting out on the dance floor. In a sense, it is. But beneath the surface, the song is really about finding something that creates some time to free yourself from your daily life and all the responsibilities you carry with you. And to share this with the person you love. For me, it’s playing music, cooking meals in the kitchen, or wandering through a farmers market. So, grab your dance partner! Crank up the volume and have some fun spinning around the dance floor! – Andrew Stern
