Gary Marks “Sky High”
Americana Highways presents this premiere of Gary Marks’ song “Sky High” from his unreleased 2007 album A Whisper Can Change The World. The album was engineered and mixed by Jim Scott (Matchbox Twenty).
“Sky High” is vocals and acoustic guitar by Gary Marks, bass by Mike Moroney, and drums by Greg Donscov.
As Gary tells us about the song, “Sometimes… maybe just once in a lifetime, and only if we’re lucky… love wins.” Reflecting on that statement, there is a lot more behind it than it may seem. “I could look my whole life through to find some meaning in you / but there’s nothing more to see other than your love for me.” Sometimes we overcomplicate things when it really could be that simple – and that is the profound meaning Gary Marks sings to us in this song.
