Scott Fisher “Dangerous Game”
Americana Highways presents this premiere of Scott Fisher’s song “Dangerous Game” from his forthcoming album. It was produced and mixed by Scott Fisher and mastered by Dave Cooley of Elysian Masters.
Musicians on “Dangerous Game” are Scott Fisher on guitars, Wurlitzer piano, and vocals; Tim Lefebvre on bass guitar and synth; and Joey Waronker on drums.
As Scott says about the song, “”For me, most songs require a lot of ‘sculpting’ to find their form, but ‘Dangerous Game’ felt like it already existed. I usually spend a lot of time refining the melodic and rhythmic geometry of a track, but this one just fell out of the sky. It’s that rare, effortless experience where you aren’t really writing the song so much as you’re catching it out of thin air.”
This song returns us to the ’70s in a more contemporary dream pop blend with its “modphonic” sound, while it addresses a modern truth: “Life is a dangerous game, but we gotta find a way.”
