Nathalie Archangel – “Sweet Dreams”
Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Nathalie Archangel’s version of Patsy Cline’s song “Sweet Dreams” from Archangel’s recently released album Patsy on the Porch, an album of songs made popular by Patsy Cline. Patsy on the Porch was engineered, mixed and mastered by Michael Peterson at Harvest Moon Studio in Martinez, California. It was produced by Nathalie Archangel and Michael Peterson.
“Sweet Dreams” is Nathalie on vocals and background vocals; Chris Ferreira on synth and piano; Mark Montijo on vocals and background vocals, telecaster and Rickenbacker 12-string; Thomas Regan on bass and drums; Michael Peterson on keyboards; and The Ordinnaires: Bruno Coon and Chris Ferreira on background vocals.
This video was conceptualized by Nathalie Archangel and Dwayne Soriano, and directed, shot, and edited by Dwayne Soriano of Crimson Beach Entertainment. Archangel captures all the swoon, timelessness and depth of the Patsy Cline original with more modern vocal harmonies, and a unique bridge. The pedal steel, guitar style and Western harmonica give it that classic country edge. As for the video, it’s tongue-in cheek, off beat and entertaining, just as it should be.
