Autumn Hollow — “Rooting for Laundry”

Autumn Hollow

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Autumn Hollow’s song “Rooting For Laundry,” from their forthcoming album Throw the House, due to be released on June 17. Throw the House was recorded by Mike Burke at Studio 12e, in Waltham MA; produced by Brendan Murphy and Mike Burke; mixed and mastered by Dan Cardinal at Dimension Sound Studios.

“Rooting For Laundry” is Brendan Murphy on lead vocals, backing vocals, and acoustic guitar; Mike Burke on lead guitar, acoustic guitar, and backing vocals; Chuck Vath on bass and backing vocals; James DeFilippo on piano, organ, and keys; and Ben Bresler on drums and percussion.

“I learned the hard way that some days are tougher than others … it’s the great escape.  Won’t you please just rescue me.”  For all the lows, there are always highs around the corner, and this song by Brendon Murphy is an honest comfort. Is the key to happiness just appreciating the little things?  It seems Autumn Hollow is right about this: “I learned the hard way we’re all just rooting for laundry.”

This song is for anyone who needs a life raft to keep their head out of the water. Life is always moving, the world doesn’t stop because you don’t want to get out of bed. It takes time to adjust and achieve some sort of livable balance. “Rooting for Laundry” is the process to achieve that balance. — Brendan Murphy
