Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Walter Salas-Humara has a fresh new record, Walterio (Rhyme & Reason Records),  [To read our review on this click one of these bolded words.], and this track ,”Come in a Singer,” is one of the most moving on the album.  Any fan of the Silos, and Walter Salas-Humara’s solo incarnations, knows he excels at creating songs that address crucially important topics in a concise and catchy fashion. But the song in this video for “Come in a Singer” is a flat out tear-jerker.  It’s a song about hope and the transformations of a lifetime, creativity and precariousness: “you give til it’s gone, you come in a singer, and leave a song.”

On the song is Salas-Humara on guitar with Joe Reyes on keys,  and the rhythm section is Rod Hohl on bass and Konrad Meissner on drums. The video was recorded, directed and edited by Eric Kassel.

“This song speaks to every artist’s desire to be remembered and and especially to have their work remembered. We come into this life creating our songs and weaving our stories, and leave behind memories and the songs that embody them.” — Walter Salas-Humara
